Read this verse in depth with cross-references and study notes

Spiritual maturity comes through constant practice in distinguishing good from evil.

Solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Maturity doesn't happen automatically but through training and practice. Like an athlete develops muscle memory, we develop spiritual discernment through repeatedly applying God's Word to life situations. Maturity is about trained judgment, not just accumulated knowledge.

Apply This Today

Practice discernment today by applying Scripture to a decision you face, training yourself to distinguish good from evil.

Prayer

Father, train me in righteousness. Help me mature through constant practice, developing discernment to distinguish good from evil. Make me spiritually strong. Amen.
