With the Egyptian army behind them and the Red Sea before them, Moses gave Israel the most countercultural command: be still.
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. This doesn't mean passivity—it means trusting God's ability to fight battles we cannot win. Sometimes the most courageous thing we can do is stop striving, stop panicking, and watch God work. He fights for His children, and His victories are always complete.
Apply This Today
Identify one battle you've been fighting in your own strength and choose today to be still and let the Lord fight for you.
Prayer
Lord, I release this battle to You. You will fight for me while I remain still, trusting in Your power and deliverance. Thank You for fighting on my behalf. Amen.
