Read this verse in depth with cross-references and study notes
The God who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it.
Paul expresses confidence that God will finish what He started in believers' lives. Our sanctification is not uncertain or dependent on our performance but guaranteed by God's faithfulness. He who began the work will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus. This brings tremendous assurance on days when we feel we're not growing or progressing—God is still at work.
