Philippians 3:13
Read this verse in depth with cross-references and study notes
Paul teaches us that moving forward requires intentionally letting go of the past.
There's a deliberate forgetting and a focused straining forward in Paul's words. We can't press toward what's ahead while clutching what's behind. Whether it's past achievements that make us complacent or past failures that discourage us, both must be released to pursue the prize God has for us.
Apply This Today
Identify one thing from your past you need to let go of today, and make a conscious choice to strain toward what God has ahead.
Prayer
Father, help me forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead. Free me from the past so I can fully pursue Your calling. Amen.
