But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof—The judgment formula repeats identically to Gaza (1:7), showing God's impartial justice. Tyre's sin was similar to Gaza's: "they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant" (1:9).
