Positive Commandment #570 of 613

Anybody who knows evidence must testify in court

Scripture

Now if a person sins after he hears a public adjuration to testify when he is a witness, whether he has seen or otherwise known, if he does not tell it, then he will bear his guilt.

א וְנֶפֶשׁ כִּי-תֶחֱטָא, וְשָׁמְעָה קוֹל אָלָה, וְהוּא עֵד, אוֹ רָאָה אוֹ יָדָע; אִם-לוֹא יַגִּיד, וְנָשָׂא עֲו‍ֹנוֹ.

1 Ἐὰν δὲ ψυχὴ ἁμάρτῃ καὶ ἀκούσῃ φωνὴν ὁρκισμοῦ καὶ οὗτος μάρτυς (ἢ ἑώρακεν ἢ σύνοιδεν), ἐὰν μὴ ἀπαγγείλῃ, λήμψεται τὴν ἁμαρτίαν·
